Boston with My Bests

5.27.2016
Since our friends live all over the place now we try to make a girls trip once a year. Kaitlyn and I decided to visit Rach in Boston for a long weekend.

I absolutely loved it! It felt very euro too me. Rach was a fantastic host and had all sorts of things planned for us, activities, museums, shopping, food, treats.

^^^
We flew overnight and landed around 9 in the morning. We dropped off our bags and immediately hit the street...with the aid of coffee.

Boston seriously has the prettiest buildings.

^^^brewery tour. We had a coffee beer that was so DELICIOUS

^^^ Rachel clearly doesn't go here

^^^love these friends of mine. We have been in it together since 8th grade.

Sad to leave rac!

Such a fun weekend with friends. We had a wonderful time being together. Friends are important and I don't know what I would do without these two.

New York City to visit Olive

Tom and I had NEVER been to NYC together, so we figured it was about time.

Olivia (my college roommate and one of my dearest friends) moved there after college to pursue film. Tom and I decided we would take a weekend trip to spend time with her and the bf Andrew.

We stayed near Time Square in a cute boutique hotel, close to shopping, food, and drinks.

We had some slight delays on flights...We took a red-eye  out of SLC and ended up getting delayed, and delayed, and delayed again, and some more delays....finally making it to NYC just in time for dinner when we were supposed to be there in time for breakfast! Oh well, we had a good time being together in the Philly airport.

^^^
After dinner we were laying in bed and I decided to get on my phone and Yelp some treat places...found this gem and convinced Tom we had to walk there. Cake Batter Cookie for the WIN!

Shopping time^^

^^^Grand Central Station

^^^a much needed brunch stop and off to more shopping

^^^and finally a night with Olivia. We headed out to Brooklyn and spent the evening at her place. I love seeing my friends happy and doing what they love.

This was a QUICK QUICK QUICK trip but so worth it and fun.

Nothing better than traveling the world with T.

Munich, Germany

Munich is BEYOND fun.

We had such a good time.

If you like beer, book a trip here now...like RIGHT NOW. The beer culture here is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I mean its 4 in the afternoon and people are chilling in the local beer garden sharing a brew with friends...does it get better?!

We started off our Munich visit with some pizza and beer...For some reason when I am in Europe I am all about the pizza. ANYWAYS. After eating and drinking we made our way to the beer garden, it was ADORABLE, just a little green hut you walked up to and picked up your beer. It was surrounded by picknick tables filled with people enjoying a brew with friends. The beer garden sat right in the middle of a market with Christmas trinkets...i was obsessed, it took everything in me to not go cray cray and buy absurd amounts of decorations. I limited myself to three holiday trinkets that are so CUTE.

The next day we started at Chocolaterie Beluga...all I can say is YUM. It is filled with all different chocolates that you can choose to make a hot chocolate. I chose salted caramel, it was rich and delicious. Tom filmed me drinking it, it makes me laugh every time I watch it because I am so obsessed with it...hahaha. Next we went to Marienplatz and New Town Hall (home of the famous clock thing.)  We walked to Residenz Munchen, Konigsplatz, and did some shopping (obviously!)

One of my favorite parts was Hofbrauhaus Munchen! The beer hall of all beer halls. It was HUGE. The beer was literally bigger than my head...I ordered a fresh pretzel while we waited for our traditional Bavarian food dishes. They had a local band that played Bavarian music while you eat. One of my favorite parts was the beer locker, essentially you can buy a beer mug locker and store your mug there in between visits...i need that.

We called it an early night and enjoyed hanging out in our hotel room relaxing, unfortunately that evening I got some sort of weird sickness and threw up...but hey, whats a vacation without a little surprise.

First stop Munich Beer Garden. Duh. Priorities people.

the vibe here was amazing

i wish i could hangout like this after work everyday. I love how laid-back the culture is.

beyond obsessed with Christmas markets in Germany...if only you could see the trinkets i purchased. So darn cute.
